Calne is located in Wiltshire and is medium size town which is home to just over 17,000 people. It is within 20 minutes of the M4 junction 15 and easily accessible by train from Chippenham which is on the main line for direct routes between London and Cardiff. In 1774 Joseph Priestly discovered Oxygen and a plaque in the centre commemorates his achievements. Calne is family centric and plays host to the annual bike meet which sees thousands flock to the centre of down on their motorcycles as well as other events such as the lantern parade and light switch on in November, in addition, the town hosts its annual carnival in July. Calne is also not far from many places of interest such Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock Abbey, Longleat and Bowood House and Gardens. It is also within 35-50 minutes of key shopping destinations such as Bath, Bristol and Swindon. The town has two main supermarkets, a larger Tesco and a Sainsburys with more choices available in neighbouring towns 15 minutes away.

Salaried GP / Salaried GP Partner

Are you an ambitious GP who is looking for a new challenge in a Salaried GP role, or maybe you’re looking to take the next step into Partnership, but just not yet ready for the commitment? If so, then we may have just the role for you – Salaried GP or a Salaried GP Partner! 


Depending on which role you’re interested in, we offer a salary of up to £13.5k per session, plus benefits


We are looking to grow our wonderfully talented GP Team within our family-friendly, countryside Practices in Calne and Sutton Benger, Wiltshire.


You may already be an experienced GP, or new into Primary Care – either way we’re passionate about learning and development and with our support, you’ll find yourself integrating into our Practice quickly and feeling part of our warm, and welcoming team.


As an employee-centric Practice, our people are our top priority and therefore benefit from protected time to partake in Yoga and Meditation sessions delivered by our very own Staff Wellbeing Coordinator, flexible working, our unique employee recognition programme and even our very own Employee Assistance Programme.


With a strong MDT, our patients benefit from Advanced Nurse Practitioners, highly experienced Practice Nurses (including Nurse Prescribers), a Paramedic, a dedicated Healthcare Assistant team, Pharmacy Technicians, Minor Illness Nursing and… the list is endless. Our GP’s also benefit from their very own GP Assistant Team!


With a growing list size of over 16,000 patients, a dispensary in our branch surgery, a pro-active PCN AND a new build surgery planned (www.assuracalne.com), we can offer candidates an opportunity to be part of a thriving and innovative team. 


Since our GP Practices are spread out over three sites, it is essential that you’re able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.

– Personal Qualities: We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals eager to learn and contribute to our team. No previous experience in a Primary Care setting is necessary, but a commitment to patient care and a desire to learn are essential.

Lead Patient Experience Care Coordinator

Patford House Partnership is seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to lead our patient experience team as the Lead Patient Experience Care Coordinator. This pivotal role is designed for a leader who excels in optimising patient care pathways, ensuring comprehensive resource allocation across all patient interaction points, including our front of house, digital platforms, and telephone services. Transform Patient Outcomes as Lead Patient Experience Care Coordinator


Key Responsibilities:


– Comprehensive Leadership: Take the helm of our patient experience care-coordination, overseeing and enhancing the quality of patient interactions at every touchpoint, from our physical and digital front of house to enhancing our telephone interactions.


– Strategic Resource Management:  Employ your expertise to strategically allocate resources, ensuring every aspect of patient experience is fully supported, facilitating seamless and positive patient journeys, care pathways and care plans.


– Innovative Problem-Solving: Utilise innovative solutions to address challenges in patient care coordination, especially in harnessing technology to improve access to our services.

We’re Looking For:


– Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams, with a track record of improving patient care and satisfaction across various service delivery points.


– Expertise in Patient Care Coordination: Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, particularly in optimising resources for effective signposting and making every contact count through front of house operations, digital platforms, and telephone services.


– Exceptional Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and efficiency in delivering top-notch patient care.  Experience of working with Systm One (TPP), Microsoft Teams and Clarity Teamnet is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.


– A UK driving licence and ability to travel between all three of our Practices in Calne and Sutton Benger


– Qualifications: GCSEs grade 9 to 4 (A to C) in maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English are essential as well as a Level 3 qualification in a hospitality, healthcare or social care.   A solid background in supervision and leadership or a related field are essential.  Ideally the right candidate will also have experience of Making Every Contact Count, Five to Thrive or hold a Mental Health First Aid certification.
